Hi:

For the poll I thought I would post a cartoon of Elena and Carolina in action.

Give the graphic artist his own unique role other than the standard stereotypes you've already done and I've seen in umpteen other comics. You could make him Dana's love interest and there's all sorts of stuff you could spin out of that.

Well Andre is the only cool guy in the office and he is based on Andre Noel the original artist.

I started reading 'Working Daze' because it was an Information Technology version of 'Dilbert'. It has strayed from that path into odd gamer jokes and 2D characters trying to capture a 3D audience. A suggestion would be to concentrate on witticisms and use the characters for delivery only. If you go the IT joke angle in the vein of the 'The Far Side" or "Close to Home", I think that will work well with your characters. Rita is flat and not entertaining when she is in every panel and does the same things each time. Less of her--please. No matter what, I'd still stick with the IT angle as you do the software/hardware problems well! I hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback folks. I know I tend to go off on tangents now and then. :)

I've tried, for my part, to help push the characters into more a 3D mold. Not visually, of course, but in terms of personality. From the beginning, I've wanted Rita to become more rounded, not a simple, 'she's evil and she loves it' archetype. It can be hard when you need to deliver a gag every day. I've also helped to remind John of old characters who had been abandoned, and whom I thought we ought to bring back. So far this has included CJ, Mrs. Jenson, Herbie, Melvin, and Norm-and there was a time when Andrew and Sal nearly faded from view. So maybe Madame Shannon will come back too.
